Yep I'm a nerd. I embrace it. hey, I didn't spend that much time craming Greek and Hebrew in my head not to use it for important things, like unlocking meaning in the very word of God or coming up with cool blog names.

camera

so i got a new camera. it is a freaking awesome camera. a Nikon D50. ooh ahh. (you are required to ooh and ahh even if you don't know what the crap i am talking about.) It's digital. You know they great thing about digital cameras? No consequences. Take a billion pictures of one flower, no problem. No funny looks from the people at Wal-Mart after they develop a whole roll of one flower. No calculating the benefit/cost ration of film and printing to hope you get one shot. Oh no. Fire away. Didn't get it exactly the way you wanted it the first 18 times? no problem. Delete try again. I took 74 pictures of Bob's cat the other day. Why? because i COULD. And I don't even have that great a level of affection for Bob's cat. It's nothing personal, she just makes my face swell shut. I will post a picture of Bob's cat. and probably my dog, the destroyer looking deceptively innocent. He's probably in the act of plotting to eat underwear at the moment the picture was taken. and some pretty flowers on the deck that seth took. why , you may ask? BECAUSE I CAN!!! mwahahahaha!

it's a greek preposition that means (among about a million other things) "according to" when you use a specific ending on the noun next to it. the titles of the gospels are kata matthean, kata markan, kata lukan etc. so according to matthew etc. again, i am a dork

that's my goal as a photographer, to capture the true essence of the subject. in the case of your cat, pure evil that was too lazy to run away from me when i got out the camera.

Yeah, including a Greek preposition in your blog is kinda dorky. It's probably just as dorky that I understood it without reading the above explanation.

Welcome to the dark side...I mean, the "blogosphere," whatever that really means...
